The design and construction of an architectural project using BIM methodology, whether in the leisure and tourism sector or any other, implies a collaborative management of the whole process. The information related to the project, centralised in a digital model, must be coordinated with different specialists. The roles of these specialists must be clearly defined before starting the project. These are the main functions to be covered:
-BIM Manager: this is the technician who manages the architectural design process and coordinates all the teams involved. They control the management of the project’s information-exchange processes, manage the implementation of the support software and study the best solutions for data import/export.
-BIM Coordinator: is responsible for coordinating the work within the discipline in which they specialise. Their main functions are to review the model, coordinate the work group within their discipline and supervise compliance with the applicable standards established for the project within the discipline.
-BIM modeller: their main function is to model the architectural project by means of graphical representation. In addition, they are responsible for the export of the 2D model and the creation of the 3D model. They will work in coordination with the other people assigned to the project (engineers, architects, consultants, etc.).
