The continuous advance of technology, combined with the development of large volumes of data and artificial intelligence, opens up a range of possibilities for devices, drones, which until now have been useful mainly for capturing images for advertising or other purposes. Amongst these new possibilities, let’s look at those related to the operation of water and theme parks.
For example, drones allow the operator to provide visitors enjoying an attraction or a slide with a personalised video of their experience. The experience therefore becomes a memory that the user can revisit and watch whenever they wish.
Drones are also useful in collecting visual information on flows and queues of people, for measurement and subsequent analysis. Thanks to this computerised analysis of the aerial images and the precise data on user flow, the water or theme park will adjust the operation and planning of attractions, themed shows, etc. The system also quantifies the use and cost of fast-passes.
The end result is improved efficiency in the scheduling and operation of the water park or theme park, as well as an optimisation of the attractions and an increase in the profitability of the available resources.
