Amusement Logic’s R&D&I Department often gives new life to classic children’s play elements. This is the case, on this occasion, with a classic among classics: the slides of children’s playgrounds. With this new proposal we take this attraction, ubiquitous in play areas in cities around the world, one step further. Our new design extracts a dual aspect from the basic shape of a slide. That’s what our Morpho Slide brings to the table.
Now, with Morpho Slide, the playground’s slide is also an arch and, in addition to sliding down it, kids can cross underneath. This way we enrich the classic game with new potential and a new formal aspect. The slide in the playground down the road, is no longer just a slide, but the children can now imagine that it is the door of a castle, the hump of a bridge, or the portal between the real world and the fantastic world.
While the usual slides found in playgrounds all over the world usually have a maximum height of 1.8 metres, Morpho Slide rises to a height of 2.2 metres at the start point, with a 2-metre subway under its arcade. In addition, different options can be installed for access, including steps, bars or climbing holds. With these small variations, in addition to providing an extra thrill for the little ones who venture to climb and slide down Morpho Slide, access and passage through its lower part, without obstacles, is easy.
We manufacture the Morpho Slide with our 3D-Tech technology, in accordance with the strictest observation of the EN 1176 standard. Both the side barriers and their height fall within the requirements of this standard. For added peace of mind, we provide for the installation of a padded floor in both the access and exit areas of the slide. It should only be added that our design and manufacture allow the option between multiple colour combinations and, therefore, its adaptation to each particular playground project.
