The Olympics is perhaps the most exciting sporting event on the planet. Each edition surpasses the last, with increasing investment and resources added to make it even more spectacular. The opening and closing ceremonies are increasingly innovative and surprising. Although the stage designs are ephemeral, a monumental effort is invested in their creation to create spectacles that remain in everyone’s memory.

One of the usual investments in the Olympic Games is precisely the design of theming elements, which must capture the imagination of millions of people around the world. Broadcasting the Olympics on television amplifies the impact of such theming elements, so that the magnificence of their design reaches a global audience.

During the Olympic Games, scenic spaces are also built to dazzle spectators. Canoeing circuits simulating natural rivers, themed with artificial rocks and waterfalls, are a clear example. Often, some of these facilities are built permanently, therefore remaining a valuable infrastructure for the city.
