For football fans (at least those who aren’t anti-Real Madrid), and theme park aficionados…their dream is coming true….a combination of both. Real Madrid recently announced their intention of developing a large “Disney style” theme park, in a 90-hectare area, next to the sports city in Valdebebas. The project will include rides for adults and children, entertainment events, a museum, restaurants and several other elements.
Similarly ambitious projects have previously failed in Spain. However, Real Madrid seems sure of being able to carry out this park: it has great financial capacity, so it does not need to depend on third-party investors, and maybe more importantly, it has a good and perfectly located terrain.
The aim of this park is to become an emblematic tourist destination for Madrid, with forecast of around 2 million yearly visitors.
