Last August (2024) a new leisure attraction opened in Dubai: Loco Bear, a 6,500 m2 indoor family entertainment centre with a variety of games and entertainment facilities for all ages. The press has not hesitated to describe it in its headlines as ‘a giant indoor entertainment park’. Let’s see why:
The entertainment centre has several areas dedicated to different activities and attractions. Let’s start with the recreational games. Here, amidst flashing lights and amazing sounds, visitors will find arcade machines of all kinds, from classic to state-of-the-art, with visual effects, motion-sensitive controls and cutting-edge gaming experiences.
The Loco Bear facility also features a bowling alley that incorporates Hyperbowl technology, ‘a revolutionary new take on bowling that blends the classic game with cutting-edge technology’. It’s no longer just about bowling, it’s an interactive experience.
Another section of the large family entertainment centre is Laser Tag, ‘a heart-pounding recreational activity that blends the excitement of combat games with the safety of non-contact play’. It is a two-storey battlefield with ramps, obstacles, themed props and strategic hiding places for fun and tactical skills.
If visitors are looking for social interaction time in a quiet environment, one of Loco Bear’s multiple rooms is the perfect place: the billiards room. But they can also enjoy the thrill of flying on the Roll Glider, a roller coaster with a zip line. Kids can entertain themselves in the meantime in the Slime Universe, ‘a fully-fledged laboratory’. Here children become scientists and experiment with a wide variety of colours, textures and incredible accessories, with which they create and play with the viscous substance that is slime. There is also a soft play area with ball pools and other games.
For the not-so-young, or even more daring adults, Loco Bear features a wall-to-wall ‘interconnected’ trampoline area, challenging obstacle courses and parkour and climbing walls.
In case it wasn’t clear, Pratik Patwari, co-founder of Loco Bear, told the publication Zawya on opening day that his aim was to ‘to offer a unique blend of adventure, creativity, and fun in an environment that brings joy and excitement to our guests, helping them create lasting memories with family and friends’. Objective achieved.
