This month we’re talking to Mr. Philippe Giner, Director of Camping Club Farret that belongs to the Yelloh! Village chain located in Vias Plage in the south of France, who has told us how he manages and develops the campsite.
Club Farret is a family campsite created in 1956 by the Farret Grandparents with the name of “Farinette Plage”. Initially, the campsite only had the main part of the Farret Club. In 1985, it was expanded with the creation of Camping la Plage, and in 2009, with the acquisition of Camping Beach Farret. Today, the campsite has an area of 14 hectares.
The campsite receives local and foreign visitors: 57% are local and 43% are foreigners. It has 692 accommodations and can house 3000 people. The Farret Club offers customers different choices for their stay: plots for tents or caravans, houses and mobile homes.
The campsite’s recreation area has three water parks, a 200 m² wellness centre, a gym, a fitness room, a multi-sports area and many other activities for children and adults. In addition, the direct beach access and its water attractions (such as the Tao Pool and its slides) are highly appreciated by the campsite’s guests and clientele.
Club Farret also has a supermarket, a restaurant, a beer bar, 3 bars, a gym, a paddle tennis court, playgrounds and a complete information point (information, free library, sale of souvenirs, wifi and bicycle rental).
To differentiate itself, the campsite has many advantages: solid values such as professional customer service, cleaning of the campsite and accommodation, high quality infrastructure and aquatic spaces. “Our technical team takes all the necessary measures to guarantee the safety of our common spaces. We also have trained personnel and adequate and clear signage to guarantee safety standards.”
Each year, the management invests, innovates and renovates the campsite. “It creates a sensation of suspense in our clients and the desire to return soon to discover the surprises that await them”. The campsite has a marketing team that keeps customers informed of the latest campsite news and this reminds customers what a great time they had during their stay. “We constantly plan activities and services that can satisfy all our customers.”
The campsite has an internal communication and marketing department, as well as the actions of the Yelloh! Village group and has 130 employees, of which 30 are permanent.
According to the director of the Farret Club, “the most important thing for the maintenance of the campsite is to have a good organization and anticipate possible inconveniences in order to act as quickly as possible”.
