The folding screen is an essential piece of furniture in an interior decorated in the traditional Chinese style. It has the function of separating, concealing and beautifying interior spaces. Traditional oriental folding screens can have simple geometric designs, but sometimes they also represent authentic works of art made with sculptural techniques and the finest materials. Amusement Logic proposes the use of traditional Chinese screen designs in architecture and construction.
Some buildings need to partially cover their façades with latticework, either for solar protection, or to control the view of spaces for equipment and installation that overlook external roads, or to guarantee the privacy of their tenants. Due to the functionality they share, as well as for aesthetic reasons, we propose transferring the traditional folding screen designs to the latticework. This is a façade solution that is easy to implement in architecture and construction, with modular lattices that reinterpret the oriental tradition of the folding screen.
