Museums are living spaces and their design literally immerses visitors and onlookers in a transformative learning experience. This is the idea that we at Amusement Logic’s Design Department started from, when determining how a museum should be designed for children, schoolchildren and groups. From this starting point, we consider that more than a simple collection of objects in showcases, a museum should be a sensorial universe that awakens the curiosity of visitors.

Interactive tours, in which children explore the contents through movement, experimentation and immersion, are in line with our design concept. Projections, tactile installations, audiovisual resources and similar attractions turn a visit to the museum into an adventure. The spatial layout and the provision of circulation must facilitate both free exploration and guided tours. At the same time, the design should be optimised for the attention spans we can expect from the youngest visitors.

Moreover, the contents of each exhibition, of each room, must be easily updated and adapted to changes, so that the exhibitions evolve and renew themselves. This flexibility allows the museum to adjust to the needs of the public and to advances in pedagogy and dissemination, or, in other words, to fulfil its function as a bridge between entertainment and knowledge.
