Fluid flow and pressure are measurable quantities that are easy to monitor and control with existing technologies. These same technologies can be integrated into a centralised Building Management System (BMS). This improves waterpark safety and operability and other leisure and tourism complexes. In these, monitoring and control of water, air and gas networks is essential, so the BMS offers benefits in at least one of the following ways:
- Recording and monitoring the performance and operation of hydraulic pumps. The BMS makes it possible to anticipate anomalies, such as a leak in the distribution network, or possible mechanical malfunctions, such as a failure of one of the motors.
- In water distribution networks for swimming pools, water attractions and/or irrigation, the set pressure of the pressure group can be modified by means of the frequency converter, automatic control valves and/or dynamic balancing valves.
- Similarly, in ventilation and air-conditioning ducts, the parameters of fans with frequency converters, speed selectors or motorised dampers can be modified and adapted to requirements.
- In the case of fuel gas, monitoring also provides insight into the operation of the network. In this way, possible anomalies can be anticipated and the supply can be cut off by means of a solenoid valve.
The integration of water, air and gas network flow and pressure monitoring and control systems in BMS, allows Amusement Logic to transform water parks and leisure and tourism complexes into intelligent facilities at the forefront of new technologies.
