Flagship structures are by definition a distinctive landmark in many theme parks, water parks, campsites, hotels and resorts, shopping centres and other leisure and tourism facilities. These buildings range from replicas of famous monuments, fairytale castles or impressive roller coasters, to completely customised ad hoc themed constructions.
The engineering process starts at Amusement Logic with the design. The design must meet specific requirements for safety, stability and aesthetics. The company’s engineers are challenged to achieve the desired themed look and feel, whilst still meeting stringent safety regulations.
Before construction begins, technicians carry out extensive structural analysis and simulations to ensure that the flagship structure meets all safety standards. This includes detailed evaluations of loads and movements under various conditions. Another extremely important aspect in the design of these structures is the selection of materials, both for the structure itself and for the design of its specific theming.
Ultimately, the iconic structures are a special identifier of the theme park, water park, campsite, hotel or resort, shopping centre or any other leisure and tourism facility for which they are intended. But they are also a testament to the ingenuity and creativity of the architects and structural engineers who conceive and build them. The combination of thematic design, solidity and safety is an outstanding achievement of Amusement Logic’s work.
