In the digital era, when the information available is really abundant, it is essential to use data science as a tool for the optimisation of production processes. Data Science is a discipline that deals with interpreting large amounts of historical data and generating knowledge from it.

In the construction industry, which is very traditionalist and often labelled as inefficient, it is of great interest to apply data science. The best way to optimise work processes is to analyse the information available from previous projects. We can then use this information to draw conclusions and develop new ways of carrying out the construction process. In this sense, one of the most widely used tools in data science is predictive analytics, which allows the builder to consider various future scenarios and, based on them, to make appropriate management decisions. Other applications of data science in construction are the analysis of project risks, the optimisation of the performance of subcontractors and the monitoring of company assets. At Amusement Logic we are convinced that applying Data Science in construction is a fundamental step for companies in the sector to advance towards their digital transformation.
