At the Hotel Balneario Las Arenas, next to the beach of the city of Valencia, Spain, a meeting of architects recently took place in a session for the exchange of ideas and projects organised by the company Grupo VÃa. This company is dedicated to the organisation of events, the creation of professional networks (“networking”), and the edition of specialised publications in the construction, architecture, interior design, engineering, hospitality, real estate, investment and shopping centre sectors. The event at the Hotel Balnerio Las Arenas was attended by Antonio Peña, director of the Architecture Department at Amusement Logic.
Under the title “Networking Express Architecture“, the working day took the form of “round tables” of between 4 and 5 architects belonging to the different participating companies.
After 20 minutes of exchanging ideas, presenting projects and getting to know each other, the members of each table moved on to another to meet with new professionals, and so on until all the participants got to know each other. This is a working format that makes conversations more dynamic and allows different perspectives, projects and ideas related to the sector, in this case, architecture, to be shared.
The event was sponsored by major suppliers to the architecture and construction sector, such as Saxun, Schneider Electric, Alucoil, Soprema, Toshiba, Akzo Nobel, Flexbrick, Otis, Zumtobel, Jansen and Delabie. Thanks to their participation, the conference also served to bring these suppliers of materials, equipment and products for architecture and construction closer to the architects attending, and vice versa. In this way, by working in both directions, the architectural firms were made aware of the different products and novelties offered by these brands, whilst these also had the opportunity to understand the needs of the architects.
