Design of a children’s experience in a natural science museum, in a combination of the playful and the pedagogical. The centre of the experience is a large-scale reproduction of prehistoric or present-day fauna, in this case a giant hippopotamus.
An educational cinema is housed in its open mouth. This screen captures children’s attention and takes them on a multi-sensory journey. The projections convey knowledge about biodiversity, ecosystems and the importance of animal and plant conservation. In addition to this great attraction – because it is huge – there are augmented reality tours with immersive simulations and hands-on workshops.
This concept transforms learning into an adventure and inspires new generations to care for and understand the natural world.
