We present the design of a building inspired by the organic beauty of a beehive, situated on the waters of a lake. The building is erected on multiple levels, each arranged with small functional rooms, connected to the landscape. The blunt corners, without edges, soften the structure and give it fluidity and naturalness.
The façade, created by means of a parametric design, has an organic aesthetic that evokes the shape of an anthill or a beehive, floating amongst the trees above the waters of the lake. The multiple and varied orientation of the rooms provides views in all directions, and allows the building to ‘breathe’ with assured ventilation.
This design invites the community to interact, while enjoying the lake environment. More than a residential building, it is a refuge in nature.
