Surfing simulators have become a must-have attraction in water parks and other leisure centres, or even in the facilities of many hotels and resorts, some campsites and selected shopping centres. This growing prominence is due to the fact that it greatly facilitates a sport that can only be practised in very particular climatic and geographical conditions, and in a rather limited list of locations. However, the surf simulators now found in water parks, hotels, resorts, campsites and shopping centres bring the sport to the general public, both amateurs and experts. It is no longer necessary to have expensive equipment or to travel long distances to practise it.
