Let’s take a look at how theme parks are diversifying their offerings, in this case with personalised luxury experiences. VIP treatment, multi-star accommodation, haute cuisine or private events are some of the new services in their catalogue. What do they involve?
VIP experiences, or preferential and personalised treatment
VIP experiences are designed to guarantee priority access, personalised services and preferential treatment at all times. Access to the most popular attractions without waiting, reserved seating at shows and personal guides who prepare itineraries tailored to the visitor’s interests are some of the treatments VIP customers receive. An example of this is provided by Disneyland’s VIP Tour Services, which offers selected guests personalised tours with insider information about the park.
Ultra-luxury accommodation in themed resorts and villas
Theme-park accommodation offers ultra-luxury options within the immersive themed experience. They offer high-end suites with themed details, personal concierge services, preferential access to the parks or unique views over the theme park. The Four Seasons Resort Orlando, attached to Walt Disney World, combines the luxury of a five-star resort with the proximity and magical spirit of the park.
Also, haute cuisine in theme parks
The gastronomic offer of theme parks has taken a qualitative leap in the luxury segment, with haute cuisine restaurants led by renowned chefs. These spaces offer sophisticated menus and atmospheres designed for a culinary experience of excellence. Exceptional quality ingredients, artistic presentations, exquisite service and refined ambiences are some of their characteristics. An example of this can be found at Victoria & Albert’s at Walt Disney World, awarded a Michelin star by the way.
Unique events and private experiences in theme parks
Private events have become a cornerstone of exclusivity in theme parks. These activities offer an intimate atmosphere and privileges that are not available during regular visits. Examples include exclusive Disney After Hours parties, or Star Wars: Galactic Nights. Sometimes, private experiences include tours of the theme park outside of regular hours and, therefore, with less crowds.
As you can see, theme parks demonstrate that entertainment and luxury are not mutually exclusive, but complementary elements that transform a visit into an exclusive experience.
