The world’s longest lazy river, at some 1,584 m long, is located at the Waco Surf Park in Waco, Texas, USA. However, it is the lazy river at Chimelong Water Park in Guangdong Province (Canton), China, at 1,280 m long, which is the longest in Asia. It is closely followed by the lazy river at the Dino Beach Water Park in Shanghai, also in China. Amusement Logic, which has already themed the latter lazy river with artificial rocks and other themed elements, is now finalising the construction of one of the world’s and Asia’s great lazy rivers at Splash Works Water Park, Bangladesh’s first water park.

It is worth noting that Amusement Logic has proprietary lazy-river water movement technology. Its Tigris, Nile and Volga systems are, in fact, the most energy efficient in the world. Their operation is capable of bringing savings of between 40% and 60% in electrical energy consumption compared to conventional systems available. It is the Volga system that has been chosen to drive the lazy river of the Splash Works Water Park.

With a length of 700 m between the central course and branches and a width of 4 m, for its correct operation, the lazy river of the Bangladesh water park requires 15 impellers distributed at precise intervals along its entire length. Amusement Logic designed it according to a millimetre-precise force distribution system, determined by its geometry and capacity. In short, the Bangladesh water park’s lazy river installation was configured in a particular and customised way, with the aim of maximising its efficiency and reducing operational energy needs.

To complete this major attraction at Splash Works Water Park, in addition to the design, supply and installation of the lazy river equipment, Amusement Logic is providing the artificial rocks for the final theming, just as it did for the lazy river at Dino Beach Water Park in China. In addition, the façades of the buildings overlooking the lazy river also have to be themed, for which, in this case, the Stoneface theming system is being used.
