Amusement Logic is currently involved in design work for a family theme park project located near the green belt of Greater Cairo, Egypt. The developer’s brief for the design was to create a world-class park, covering an area of 2.1 hectares, with zones and attractions for all family members. Through a membership programme, the project aims to allow its customers to enjoy the facility all year round.

Exclusive theming and differentiated attractions

Our proposal for the leisure and entertainment park’s theming is based on the premise of a fairy tale. It is an attractive theme for a family audience, with a fantastical character, great for visitors’ imaginations, especially the youngest ones. It also offers a large dose of exoticism and is a unique theme in the geographical area where it is located. Its distinct character, its exclusivity, its exoticism, are precisely some of the keys to its future success. Another key is to offer differentiated leisure, fun and entertainment itineraries for each of the members of the family.

Diversity of leisure and entertainment spaces

With a fairy-tale inspired atmosphere, the landscaping, theming and setting details transport visitors to a unique place, out of time, and encourage them to discover the different attractions. These are divided into the following areas:

-A children’s aquatic zone integrating a SplashPad and a water play area with water cannons, jets, slides and other amusements.

-Next to this there is an adventure course with a zip line and other dexterity and psychomotor challenges.

-Further into the family leisure complex, we find a central part that runs lengthwise, offering children’s dry attractions differentiated by age, with walkways, ramps, slides, see-saws, our exclusive CloudLand and other play facilities.

-A go-karting circuit extends along one side of the leisure complex.

-A horse-riding course occupies another side of the family theme park.

-At the opposite end of the park from the entrances, the theme park will have a small petting zoo, which is always an attractive option for children. This small-scale zoo will have a population of carefully chosen domestic animals and other species, docile enough for children to touch and feed: sheep, goats, rabbits, ponies, pigs, donkeys, macaws, lemurs, turtles, parrots, etc. To ensure their health, the children will feed the animals with food purchased in the park itself, from vending machines or from a kiosk.

-On another side, a building themed to resemble a fantasy castle will offer youngsters and teenagers virtual reality games, an escape room, a 3D cinema, interactive games, a haunted house and other attractions.

-Finally, the theme park entrance building will house a restaurant and terraces visually connected to the attractions, as well as changing rooms and toilets to serve the entire park.

Amusement Logic has designed this family theme park for its construction in Egypt, with the clear criterion of grouping and organising the diversity of attractions by age. At the same time, the design establishes a spatial and thematic unity. Finally, it ensures that the circulation, the occupation of space and the development of the visitor experience is rational, efficient and conflict-free.
