The family experience could be enhanced by creating children’s areas that are consistent with the same ethos conveyed by the architecture of luxury hotels and resorts. In other words, there is a real possibility that such children’s areas could be integrated, like another verse, into the poetry of well-being that the hotel or resort embodies.

It is precisely Amusement Logic’s Design Department that, once again, demonstrates this potential for the design of children’s play areas. It is currently developing a proposal for the integration of children’s water-based leisure activities, with elegance and precision, into the overall aesthetic conveyed by the resort’s landscape.

At a luxury resort hotel in the Maldives, a children’s water play area could well look just like the images show. The tropical architecture, woven roofs, hardwood arcades, natural stone, delicate colours and lush vegetation all exude an atmosphere of harmony with the landscape and a visual connection to the ocean.

Shallow pools, musical fountains, gentle slides, and fish, shells and marine-inspired games, are the elements that speak the language of this tropical setting. The aim is to celebrate the local cultural and landscape narrative.

The family area therefore becomes a meeting place, like a haven connected to the rest of the resort. Low density, integrated design, quality, nature, flowing water and an atmosphere of shared well-being hang in the light air of holidays and leisure days.

Childhood and family life are seamlessly woven into the resort’s lyrical narrative. Kids have fun and play in a stimulating play area; parents relax in shaded rest areas, in the utmost comfort, whilst keeping a watchful eye on their little ones.
