Amusement Logic takes the concept of super luxury to new heights with this design for a large villa camouflaged in the natural environment. In this way, the opulence of its architecture does not conflict with the landscape. The structure blends in and reproduces the rock of the cliff, so that it almost goes unnoticed.
The villa juts out over the abrupt coastline, embedded in the landscape almost as if it had been sculpted by meteorological phenomena and geological forces. Its organic architecture and flowing lines give the illusion that it is a feature of the hill that has emerged from an accumulation of rocks following an earthquake or landslide. The materials also reproduce the tones and textures of the boulders that embrace the villa, whilst the glazed surfaces reflect the water and the sky, blurring the boundaries between building and nature, architecture and geology, design and chance.
The visual impact is minimal in a material sense, yet profound in an emotional sense. The architecture of this villa becomes at the same time a curved, flowing corridor through which the native vegetation advances, grows around and develops over the construction. Its integration into the existing topography is almost complete. Terraces and hanging gardens add green spaces that enrich the landscape and at the same time become part of the local ecosystem. In this way, the villa’s entry into the local ecosystem becomes sustainable.
