Amusement Logic’s Design Department proposes a fresh perspective on aquatic space design for hotels and resorts. Moving away from a single pool shared by all guests, the concept reimagines the attraction as an “aquatic village.” A collection of pools, each with a distinct character, is distributed across a space that is labyrinthine, cool, and lush with greenery; a lively social pool gives way to a tranquil one, a family zone, a gentle lazy river, and even private nooks. The pool ceases to be a uniform expanse of water and—through concept and design—transforms into a landscape offering a multitude of experiences.

As the number of pools and experiences multiplies, so does the perceived value of the hotel or resort—all without significantly increasing the actual water surface area. Whether seeking interaction or calm, traveling as a family with children or as a couple desiring intimacy, every guest finds their own space without encroaching on others. The experience is enriched, and the aquatic attraction offers compelling reasons for guests to stay longer.

Regarding the architecture and construction of this “aquatic village,” fragmenting the aquatic program into multiple pools allows for varied depths, temperatures, and uses, as well as a hierarchy of pathways and shaded areas. Hydraulic engineering, meanwhile, provides the specific systems required for each distinct environment.

From an operational standpoint, offering a wider variety of distinct experiences within the same site increases the resort’s appeal and encourages longer stays. This directly boosts profitability. Thanks to Amusement Logic’s Design Department, that single pool evolves into a “village” of waterways offering diverse ways to enjoy the water.
