DAMAC Properties began operating as a real estate developer in Dubai in 2002, when the emirate’s rulers opened up certain areas of the city, such as Dubai Marina and Jumeirah Beach Residence, to the international real estate market. From then on, outsiders could enjoy private ownership of real estate in these areas. Throughout its history, the developer has delivered residential, commercial and leisure properties in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Jordan, Lebanon, Iraq, the Maldives, Canada, the United States and the United Kingdom. Between these properties, the company has built some 42,000 homes and residences, in the luxury segment, and continues with new real estate projects. The latest to be announced is a residential development planned for the port of Dubai: DAMAC Bay by Cavalli.

DAMAC Bay by Cavalli is a residential complex of three towers of 42 floors each, in which new residents will be able to choose luxury flats of 1, 2 and 3 bedrooms, or duplexes of 5, all with sea views. This new project is an example of a design and architecture strategy that the company explains as a collaboration between “some of the world’s most eminent fashion and lifestyle brands“. In this case, as stated in its press release, DAMAC Bay by Cavalli offers “an aesthetic designed by the iconic Cavalli brand”, and its ultimate aim is to make available to residents “the wonders of luxurious seaside living”.

The inspiration for the design of the new residential development stems from “the wonders of maritime life“. So, the façade “pays homage to serene ocean waves“. The interior design, on the other hand, draws on decorative motifs inspired by seashells, pearls and the colour and pattern patterns of zebrafish. On the other hand, a serpentine bridge spans the distance at the top and connects the three towers of DAMAC Bay by Cavalli. It also allows you to go from one rooftop to another and enjoy one of the infinity pools, as well as the breath-taking views.

The “crownpiece” of DAMAC Bay by Cavalli is a large water fountain at the top of the central tower. According to the developer, the fountain’s water features, visible from the neighbouring towers, will be synchronised to operatic music. In addition to these installations, there is a large pool, like a “water maze”, at the top of the podium that connects and unifies the three towers at the base. Diving experiences or hammocks suspended over the infinity pool are some of the possibilities that this large aquatic facility will offer to the residents. As if that were not enough, residents will have access to a private white sandy beach.

Another project by DAMAC Properties already deserved our attention, in an article in which we described it as a “unique residential complex in the world”. It was DAMAC Lagoons.
