Rain Forest Design is developing a new and important adventure park project for Valencia. “This project is very original and completes the leisure offer aimed at young people and families in the city,” said Joan Ribó,  mayor of the city, during the public presentation of the project.

Rain Forest, a company operating the Bioparc Zoo un Valencia, also holds a concession for the two large adjacent unused plots where the new adventure park is to be built.  “The cycle of our concession is closing and we are providing a leisure hub to Valencia that will be a novelty throughout Europe,” said José Maldonado, president of the concessionaire, during the press conference.

The park, with an innovative design inspired by the temples of Angkor, Cambodia, feature the original “Canyoning”  adventure area with rappelling, climbing, jumps over 23 meters high, a large zip line, water descents, lazy and fast rivers, but also an area of tranquility and relaxation with a beach with waves. All this integrated in a lush vegetation, with sculptures, lava rocks and a building that combines brick with stone blocks. This park complements the «vision of the emotional, intuitive and artistic nature of Bioparc, with another active and much more fun vision,» Maldonado expressed to the media.

With operations running smoothly of the Bioparc zoo, which opened to the public in February 2008, Rain Forest is in a conditions  to embark on the construction of the adventure park.   Natural materials will be used because the purpose”is to follow procedures as ecological as possible,” said Maldonado

The project already has the commitment of the banks regarding the private financing necessary to make it happen. With a budget of 25 million euros, and with a modification away in regards to the urban classification of the land by the plenary session of the Valencia City Council, the works will begin in January, and the opening of the new park is planned for March 2022. Maldonado added that «these new endowments are intended to be framed in the city project that is Valencia: family oriented and environmentally friendly.»
