In a city southeast of Moscow, the construction of a complete new district is being planned, a city within a city with schools, polyclinics, sports facilities, kindergartens and all the necessary services for living, working and playing. As part of this gigantic project, the development company is also planning a 140,000 m2 shopping centre on three floors. In line with the shopping mall trends of recent years, the new shopping centre will include, in addition to space for international brands, facilities for leisure, entertainment, relaxation and dining. Movie theatres, restaurants and snack bars, and a large water park and thermal complex are the main leisure attractions it will offer to the city’s inhabitants. To this end, the development company has commissioned Amusement Logic to carry out the conceptual design of the large water and thermal park.

The 25,000 m2 complex will be divided into two interconnected general areas: a family aquatic area and another occupied by the thermal centre, distributed over two floors, in addition to the basement where the technical equipment for water treatment and acclimatization of the space will be installed. The general plan of the aquatic and thermal park, conceived as a whole, is subdivided into eight different areas:

– The complex will be connected to the shopping centre through one of the pedestrian walkways on the second floor, via a portal to the world of entertainment and relaxation that promises.

– The reception and ticketing area will include information and ticket sales counters, with a small store and direct views from observation decks, over the lower aquatic level of the complex.

– Once tickets have been purchased, users will have access to the changing rooms and lockers from the reception area.

– The administration, operation and security offices, also located on the second floor of the complex, allow staff access from the service area of the shopping centre, again with direct views of and communication with the aquatic areas of the complex.

– The main restaurant, located on the north corner, has access from the first and second floors and views of the interior of the aquatic complex and the parking lot through glass windows. The restaurant will be accessible from the shopping centre or even from the parking lot when the complex is closed.

– The water and thermal park will also offer an area of slides on the second floor for youngsters and teenagers. This will be the busiest area of the complex, so we have located it away from the thermal and relaxation areas. The slides are accessed from the interior and they run around the outside of the building, over the parking lot and end back inside.

– The family aquatic area is located on the first floor and is accessible from the changing rooms and connected to the thermal area, the restaurants and the water slides area. It will offer a swimming and relaxation pool for adults, with Jacuzzis, waterfalls and idyllic corners, as well as a swim-up bar, a wave pool, bridges, grottos, islands, and a children’s area with a wide variety of small slides, interactive games, figures, water jets and other specific activities for little ones.

– Finally, the thermal area, with spa, saunas and restaurant area, is distributed in various blocks on the 1st floor and is directly accessible from the changing rooms or from the aquatic area. The thermal area consists of state-of-the-art facilities for the care of the body, wellness and beauty, with the latest treatments and innovative experiences that appeal to all five senses. It will have hot and cold water pools, various types of saunas and relaxation and massage areas. We have designed it as an exclusive place to enjoy with the family, with special attention to detail, whether it is the lighting or its architecture.

In accordance with our client’s wishes, the “cosmic” theme will make the water and thermal park a unique place, a landmark with its own identity and distinct character in the city, which will encourage its citizens to make recurring visits throughout the year.
