“Now the residents of the Republic won’t have to travel to Kazan, Magnitogorsk or Samara…”
On 14th December, a shopping mall called “Planet”, which has the largest waterpark in the Bashkortostan Republic, was opened in the city of Ufa, (Russia).
With a total investment of 9 billion roubles, (219.5 million Euro), the developers and clients of Amusement Logic, S.L., the company “RosEvroDevelopment”, hope to recoup the investment in seven years, as indicated by its General Director, Nikolay Artemenko.
The shopping mall developed by the company RTKL and the waterpark created by Amusement Logic, have a total area of 154000m2 and innovative planning, with two of the building’s three floors being below ground level and the parking area for 3200 vehicles on the centre’s roof.
Together with other leisure elements that are typical in this type of projects, such as a cinema, bowling alley and areas for billiards and children’s games, the mall features a spectacular waterpark with a total area exceeding 15000m2, equipped with the most vanguard attractions and games set in prehistoric times.
“We have long awaited the inauguration of this centre, which has been expensive and difficult in its construction. Now, the residents of the Republic won’t have to travel to Kazan, Magnitogorsk or Samara. Now, there is the possibility of quality leisure for all the family in our Republic”, stated the President of the Republic of Bashkortostan, Rustem Khamitov, in his inaugural speech.
The waterpark’s design is styled with theming from the lost Jurassic world. The park has different attractions and pools. A total of 12 slides, six cafés and a restaurant have been installed. Beside each attraction, specially trained monitor-lifeguards keep an eye on guests’ safety. The park’s capacity reaches 1000 people per day.
The owners indicated to journalists that the park’s development, design and turnkey construction, were carried out by one of the major companies in the sector, the Spanish firm Amusement Logic, S.L.
