The design of this urban playground, the work of Amusement Logic’s Design Department, is not limited to offering games, but stands as a walkable, scalable, open sculpture. As you can see, it is directly inspired by the silhouette and body of an octopus, which it raises to a monumental scale.

Its forms combine, in a particular “recipe”, art, nature and pedagogy. The result: a space that invites exploration, physical challenge, discovery and, above all, becomes the best excuse to let the imagination fly – or perhaps we should say “let it dive” – into its tentacles. By the way, this octopus, made of wood, offers multiple routes: tunnels, slides and shelters.

In case you’re wondering, the wood of our giant octopus has been treated to be highly resistant to the frequent use that children will undoubtedly give it. In addition to being a sustainable – and highly pleasantmaterial, wood treated in this way blends in with the natural environment.

All in all, this play-structure offers a collective experience for the children and, of course, also for the adults who watch them enjoy themselves. In short, it strengthens a transversal relationship with the urban space through the imagination.
