“Futuroscope strikes again!” said the French magazine Quoi faire à Bordeaux shortly before 15th July 2024, the date when “the long-awaited opening of Aquascope” finally arrived on the premises of the “emblematic park in the Vienne region” in France. It added, “this new Futuroscope water park promises thrills, fun and a good dose of relaxation, all in a 6,000 m² indoor area with water at 29°C all year round”. The publication completed the presentation of the tourist attraction: “Aquascope is much more than a water park. It is an immersive experience in which water becomes the stage for your adventures”.

Precisely one of these water adventure scenarios is the result of Amusement Logic’s direct contribution to the spectacular Aquascope water park project. It is the design and construction of an active river; in other words, a rapids river for swimming and action in the current, or what the water park calls “L’Aquadynamique“. Amusement Logic is a world leader and specialist in water movement both in the lazy rivers of water parks and, in this case, in the rapids river. In fact, the flow that the company has created for Aquascope’s active river, L’Aquadynamique, is only possible with the company’s unique aquatic agitators.

L’Aquadynamique, which adds high-tech facilities to create truly immersive aquatic experiences, justifies the headline that the internet information channel of public television France 3, France Info, dedicated to the opening of Aquascope: “the first visitors are preparing to live a unique experience in the world“. Or the one devoted to it by the British newspaper The Sun in its sensationalist claim in big letters: “Huge waterpark to open in Europe this summer – with 8 massive slides, themed universes and the ‘first aquatic cinema”.

L’Aquadynamique can be accessed from inside the indoor water park, via a descending staircase, or directly after sliding down a water slide that starts inside, goes outside and ends its journey in the active river. The rapid waters whirl outside, at the same warm temperature as in the water park, and carry bathers along a closed circuit with bends, rapids and even a whirlpool. In addition to the fun-filled whirlpool in which visitors and tourists are immersed when they venture into the active river L’Aquadynamique, there are special effects of smoke and light.
