The town of Sidi Abdellah, west of the city of Algiers in Algeria, is a small town that was only recently created, in 2004, by decree of the Algerian government. The purpose of its creation was to implement a sustainable and open urban development model that would avoid overcrowding in the neighbourhoods of its capital. This, the small Nouvelle Ville Sidi Abdellah, is the site of a new water park currently in the final stages of construction. Amusement Logic was selected by a local developer to design and build it.
If we take a virtual tour of the new water park in Sidi Abdellah, we leave our car in the car park and cross the entrance building. The first thing we find is a large Splash Pad. This features in a children’s area, surrounded by a solarium with sunbeds and umbrellas so that parents can comfortably enjoy their children’s fun without losing sight of them. They can also choose to cool off on the restaurant’s terrace, which is located on the other side, opposite the entrance building. By the way, a selection of our Spray Toys games liven up the Splash Pad and the children’s areas throughout the park.
But let’s continue our visit: to the left of the Splash Pad, after crossing the landscaped areas, we come across a winding Lazy River that surrounds one of our WaterParty interactive water play models. Ideal for children, this interactive game is also surrounded, for the peace and quiet of parents, by a magnificent solarium. In addition to the WaterParty, a Snack Bar strategically located inside the curves of the Lazy River, serves these attractions.
Now it’s the turn of the youngsters and teenagers, who only have to go a little further to find their place in the water park. Indeed, on the other side of the Lazy River, in the south-west corner of the park, these visitors will be delighted to find an area specially designed for them. With a group of slides and a corresponding reception pool, fun is guaranteed. However, they can also choose to enjoy the waves of the Wave Pool. Located at the opposite end of the water park, on the north-eastern side, the Wave Pool has a new solarium for those who prefer to watch, to lie in the sun or under a shade and enjoy the attraction’s exciting and incessant activity.
Finally, to the left of the Wave Pool, at the northern end of the water park, adults will find experiences to suit them. They can choose between a dizzying Kamikaze slide, the floats to plunge down a Giant Slide, or enter the curvy space of a Hydrotube; or they can always take a two-track Multit-slide ride in pairs. If you want to have a snack, the Lazy River Snack Bar is just a few steps away; in any case, you can always eat or take refreshments in the restaurant on the east side of the water park.
