PiNCAMP magazine recently published its selection of the 10 best “water paradises” in Europe. It should be noted that PiNCAMP is, as it calls itself, “the camping portal” of the ADAC (Allgemeiner Deutscher Automobil-Club), which in turn, with some 21 million members, represents the largest automobile association on the continent and an institution of great influence and prestige in the camping sector in particular and leisure and tourism in general. In any case, by “water paradises” PiNCAMP means campsites with extensive aquatic facilities, in other words, with swimming pools and “really spectacular water slides“.

Indeed, as the magazine points out, European campsites are outdoing each other with increasingly sophisticated “bathing landscapes”. Among the elements that contribute to these “landscapes”, and to making them more sophisticated, is always their theming. Amusement Logic has created a very special theming for one of the 10 campsites that PiNCAMP has now selected. This distinguished campsite is Camping Le Floride, located in the village of Le Barcarès, Pyrénées-Orientales, Languedoc-Roussillon region, France.

The work that Amusement Logic carried out for the theming of Le Floride campsite included the research, design and manufacture of ethnographic themed elements such as totems. A totem is an object or landmark, usually carved in wood, which is considered sacred and represents a symbol or emblem of a group of people such as a family, a clan, a lineage or a tribe.

In their case, Amusement Logic was inspired by the indigenous peoples of the northwest coast of North America on the Pacific Ocean. In the culture of these peoples, totem poles of monumental size, carved according to zoomorphic motifs, such as bears, birds, frogs, etc., are traditional, but also made with anthropomorphic motifs and even according to the appearance of supernatural beings and aquatic creatures.

In addition to Camping Le Floride, which we warmly congratulate for its distinction, PiNCAMP magazine has selected the following campsites as the best “aquatic paradises” in Europe: Camping Club MS Les Brunelles, in Longeville-sur-Mer, Vendée, France; Alannia Costa Blanca, in the town of Crevillent, Valencia, Spain; Camping Baia Blu la Tortuga, in the commune of Aglientu, Sardinia, Italy; Camping & Resort Sangulí Salou, in the town of Salou, Tarragona, Spain; Zaton Holiday Resort, in Zaton, Croatia; the Centro Vacanze Pra’ delle Torri, in Caorle, province of Venice, Veneto region, Italy; the Camping Ca’Pasquali Village, also in the province of Venice, town of Cavallino-Treporti; the Vakantiepark & Camping Duinrell, in the municipality of Wassenaar in South Holland, The Netherlands; and the Playa Montroig Camping Resort, located in Mont-roig del Camp, province of Tarragona, Spain. We extend our congratulations to all of them.
