We present a sketch by Amusement Logic’s Design Department for the leisure areas in a series of private villas and residential complexes located in the Middle East. Architecture, water and vegetation combine to create their interior courtyards and bring to life the much-appreciated quality of elegance. The concept is rooted in a contemporary take on local tradition: sheltered courtyards, shaded walkways, materials with sensual tones and textures, and an intimate relationship between home and garden.

The design organises life around shallow water features, ornamental fountains and covered seating areas, creating an atmosphere of coolness and serenity. Pergolas, lattices and shading elements reinterpret traditional architectural features, whilst the cream tones of the stone, the nuances of the wood, as well as the palm trees and aromatic vegetation, reinforce a natural, refined atmosphere that is in harmony with the surroundings.

This design for the internal courtyards provides spaces for conversation, quiet corners for contemplation, children’s play areas, terraces for al fresco dining and pathways that invite visitors to pause, all geared towards family and social use. In this context, without resorting to exaggerated gestures but through a balanced composition, water acts as a visual focal point and a source of sensory experience; at the same time, it moderates the temperature and lends an exclusive character to the whole.

A study in residential leisure that combines comfort, cultural identity and contemporary design. An elegant concept, respectful of Arab tradition and adapted to modern needs in villas, residential resorts and luxury private communities.
