In this proposal from Amusement Logic’s Design Department, children’s furniture is conceived as a small piece of architecture within the room. The pieces serve as a cozy refuge for children, where they can sit, talk, read, or play in privacy, embraced by enveloping shapes, without being completely isolated. It is a micro-space of their own, a place where imagination finds fertile ground for dreams.

This design focuses on soft shapes and spongy, padded materials that are pleasant to the touch and capable of conveying calm and comfort. The children’s micro-spaces dampen sound, thus promoting concentration and contemplation. At the same time, their almost sculptural materiality turns the room into a playful setting.

Architecture, play, and learning come together in these personal children’s micro-spaces. This innovative children’s design explores stimulating types of furniture, spaces where the youngest members of the household can engage in creativity and, in its most evocative form, emotional and cognitive development. These are children’s micro-spaces, small in scale but enormous in possibilities.
