This month we offer from Amusement Logic’s Design Department, the design of a cabin for the most intrepid and adventurous to enjoy experiences in nature. It is a geodesic dome with an irregular pattern, the result of the exercise of structural engineering, which stands as a refuge in the heart of the forest.
Its self-supporting structure, composed of precise triangulations, optimises the distribution of loads and guarantees high resistance to inclement weather. The outer cladding, in a particular shade of yellow, not only gives the dome a distinctive character, but also enhances the absorption of solar energy and therefore the energy efficiency of the system. After all, the curvature of the dome allows optimal solar radiation capture, even in the winter months.
In addition, large, strategically positioned circular windows frame the landscape and let in natural light. Passive ventilation and thermal insulation systems ensure optimum comfort all year round.
