Scream parks, or horror parks are entertainment destinations dedicated to scares, fear and horror as thrilling and fun experiences. Visitors of all ages feel the adrenaline rush and are shaken by nervous laughter from the very first step. The environments, the careful theming of the spaces that make up the park, move away from the real into the imaginary, always from the horror point of view.
Despite their horror orientation, the Scream Parks have options for all tastes and ages. They offer less intense attractions, ideal for families, or extreme challenges for the bravest. Of these, the most popular are the following:
–Haunted Houses: these are labyrinthine interiors full of surprises; with a profusion of special effects and creepy creatures lurking around every corner, they keep visitors on their toes.
–Dark rides: the gloom envelops the daring, so that their senses are heightened; every twist and turn brings a shocking surprise.
–Horror shows: Here, live performances and theatrical shows transport brave audience members into scenes of fear and suspense, pushing them to the edge of their seats.
–Special themed zones: Indoor, outdoor or covered spaces with a design and theming that immerses visitors in different times, places or settings, where terrifying creatures and characters lurk.
These parks put technology and creativity at the service of entertainment. Most theme parks and traditional amusement parks, during special seasons such as Halloween, adopt aspects of Scream Parks. At this time of the year, the parks offer horror shows and theming.
