Today, printing is no longer limited to the 2D representation of words or designs on paper. The advent of 3D printing, on the other hand, has completely revolutionised industrial manufacturing. This technology is applied in a multitude of processes and allows the rapid manufacture of all kinds of products, from a simple key ring to the construction of an entire house. With 3D printing, architectural design is also opening up a wealth of new possibilities.
Indeed, the construction industry is no stranger to this innovation and has adopted it in a multitude of architectural projects. For example, large 3D printers are used for the construction of houses, the raw material for which is specially prepared concrete. Its construction is carried out progressively, in layers, which allows the electrical and sanitary installations to be left embedded during the process.
At Amusement Logic, we believe that 3D printing represents an interesting prefabrication alternative. On the one hand, it solves some of the typical problems of housing construction (high costs, long construction times). On the other hand, the process is more sustainable and environmentally friendly, an issue of vital importance nowadays.
