In water parks designed by Amusement Logic, thrills and safety are two sides of the same coin. Behind every thrill when sliding down a slide, there is a sophisticated protection system that works in silence. One of the safety challenges in them consists precisely in the answer we give to the following question: how to prevent a person from going down a slide if it is not possible to decide, because the arrival pool is hidden from view, whether the person who went down beforehand has left it?

Amusement Logic answers this question with intelligent circulation systems that work like an urban traffic light, but on slides. When a user goes down the slide, photoelectric sensors on the exit platform activate the red disc, letting the next visitor know that access is closed. Then, when sensors in the braking zone confirm that the user has arrived – after a short safety margin interval – the green traffic light disc is activated.

There is the option of integrating this system with other technologies. For example, smart scales. These serve to check in real time – in an additional protective cover – whether the user’s weight is suitable for the attraction. On multi-lane slides, on the other hand, these same sensors become precision timers for users to run races.

For lifeguards, these systems are indispensable allies, as they automate critical processes while freeing up their attention to focus on others that require it.
