Located in the city of Mehsana, in the north of the western Indian state of Gujarat, the Shankus Water Park and Resort is one of the oldest and most popular water parks in the country. About two years ago, its owners commissioned Amusement Logic to design and undertake the executive project for its complete renovation.

The aim of the executive project was to modernise the attractions, create new rides with larger capacities, build a new wave pool and lazy river, and expand the water park’s area. Shankus Water Park and Resort’s owners studied different water movement systems for the lazy river and found that Amusement Logic’s Tigris system was the most efficient of them all. In addition, one of the peculiarities of the renovation project was that it was to be carried out in phases, so that the water park could continue to operate during the construction work.

Now, Shankus Water Park has received the Gujarat Tourism Award for the best water park in the state. The Gujarat Tourism Awards celebrate, in the words of the organisation, “success, leadership and innovation in the tourism industry”, and are intended to reward “those people, places, organizations and ideas that have gone above and beyond to offer travellers superior tourism experiences in Gujarat”. The awards are given in all areas of the tourism sector, such as travel agencies and tour operators, hospitality, transportation, health, wellness and spas, MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions) tourism and finally in the field of tourist attractions. It is in the latter category that Shankus Water Park and Resort has been recognised as the best water park in Gujarat.

We would like to extend our sincere congratulations to Shankus Water Park and Resort for such a well-deserved award, to which we hope we have humbly contributed with the care and seriousness of our work.
