A set of triangular pavilions that turn the public plaza into an urban kaleidoscope. Each module, raised on a light structure of laminated wood, is clad with panels of saturated colours, from magenta to emerald, which filter the light like a contemporary stained-glass window. The green roofs cascade down from above to touch the ground. This is Amusement Logic Design Department’s proposal to dress the city with leisure and culture.
Under the pavilions there are small meeting places: informal co-working areas, kiosks and stages for small events, concerts, neighbourhood meetings, poetry recitals, etc., etc., etc., The layout, like a comb, leaves gardens, staircases and steps between pavilions from which to observe daily life. During the day, the transparencies project a changing mosaic of colour onto the pavement; at night, the LED lighting inside turns the edges into beacons that animate the street with a soft glow.
The modularity of the system makes it possible to enlarge or reduce the ensemble at will, to transport it for temporary events or to configure it for different functions, such as a market, an open classroom, an exhibition space, or… These simple geometries are committed to a vibrant and accessible urbanism in which art, nature and community go hand in hand, all in a single gesture, in all its senses, of architecture for leisure.
