“Meet & greet” is the term used internationally to refer to a meeting and/or waiting point, either in places related to transport (airports and stations), or at events where people come to see an artist or personality, or in leisure and tourism venues where it is part of the visitor experience. Meet & greet spaces facilitate meetings between groups of people who share common interests, or who are going to enjoy a personalised thematic experience with a character from a park, or who are waiting to go on a tourist visit, etc.

All these meet & greet spaces have to bring together people who do not know each other beforehand, during variable waiting times. This makes it necessary to make their stay enjoyable in such a space. For the spaces’ design, the location and dimensions, signage, furniture, equipment and finally the theming, must be considered adequately and integrally, depending on their use.
