On 23rd December 1996, Amusement Logic applied for membership of the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA). Since the acceptance of the application, the company has been a member of IAAPA for almost 30 years.
Since its foundation in the USA in 1918, after decades of expansion and internationalisation, the IAAPA has today become “the largest international trade association for permanently situated amusement facilities”. Indeed, the organisation represents more than 6,000 companies of manufacturers, builders, design studios, general suppliers, operators and owners of amusement parks, zoos and aquariums, museums, science centres, family entertainment centres and water parks in more than 100 countries. And Amusement Logic is one of those 6,000 companies.
Among the benefits that Amusement Logic has received during these almost 30 years of association – and still receives – we can count the opportunity to exchange information, learn about industry trends, connect and create a network of collaborators, drive innovation and grow together with other professional colleagues in the attractions sector, both regionally and globally. IAAPA membership also allows the company to be well informed of legislative and regulatory changes that affect its work. At the same time, Amusement Logic has an up-to-date global calendar of local and international events.

On the knowledge front, Amusement Logic has benefited from IAAPA’s rich catalogue of courses, seminars and professional development programmes to deepen its understanding of industry disciplines and keep up to date with new technologies. It also has access to the Association’s research on economic trends, consumer behaviour and best safety practices – in fact, we have shared some of it with you and will likely do so in the future. And that research provides the data necessary for the company to make informed decisions and remain at the forefront of the leisure industry.

Another means for the Amusement Logic team to stay informed is through the publications produced by the Association. Indeed, the company has “a constant stream of articles, videos and blog posts”, as well as an “extensive online archive for valuable insights”, to which the company’s faithful collaboration with it entitles it. IAAPA has also published over the years “valuable whitepapers developed by industry experts”.
Finally, the Association publishes the Funworld magazine, available for download and in hard copy, “recognised as a trusted source” for “captivating stories (…), groundbreaking innovations, safety information and feature articles on the latest industry trends”. Funworld devoted an extensive article to one of the innovations that Amusement Logic introduced to the world: canyoning parks. For Funworld, this adventure attraction deserved an extensive report under the heading “Product innovation”.
