In a new incursion into contemporary architecture, Amusement Logic’s Design Department presents the creation of façades by means of parametric design, using the Rhinoceros Grasshopper add-on. It is a technique that allows the creation of dynamic and highly customised façades.

Grasshopper is an algorithmic design platform in which architects and designers experiment with different parameters and variables to generate complex shapes. In terms of façades, the platform makes it possible to easily modify, among other parameters, their geometry, the density of their elements, their solar orientation and energy efficiency.

Grasshopper’s flexibility and versatility allows us to explore a wide range of designs and concepts, from perforated and textured façades, to dynamic and adaptive shading systems. Furthermore, because it is integrated into Rhinoceros, it makes it easy to combine parametric façade design with other aspects of the project, such as its structure, landscaping, lighting, etc. With this, we create comprehensive and coherent designs, as well as innovative and visually attractive. At the same time, it helps to optimise the performance and functionality of the structures, as well as reducing production times and, therefore, their cost.
