Travertine, with its softness and warm texture, provides the foundation upon which large ornamental spheres are erected. Carved with plant or geometric patterns, or both, they cast changing shadows throughout the day. In this way, beyond their purely decorative function, the sculptural pieces create poetic profiles between light and shadow, lending an evocative character to the courtyard.
