A unique cultural centre, a space for art and culture, but also a haven where design bows reverently to nature. Located on a beautiful set of lakes, this cultural centre celebrates both the natural richness of the site and sustainability.

Wood, a natural material, is responsible for the warmth that emanates from the building. At the same time, it is the best vehicle for a deep connection with nature. Its welcoming beauty invites visitors to peace. Its texture and colour merge irremediably with the landscape, in a constant dialogue between inside and outside. The visitor will feel that the building has ‘grown’ out of the earth like a kind of tree.

The building’s design moves away from straight lines and rigid geometric forms, in an organic architecture that imitates the fluid and soft shapes of nature. Its structure adheres to the topography of the land and embraces the curves of the landscape. The undulating walls and sloping roofs produce cosy and functional interior spaces.

The roof, dotted with skylights, facilitates direct contact with the sky and therefore creates a special atmosphere in the interiors. They are flooded with natural light, which changes throughout the day. The organic, curved shape of the skylights is based on natural structures, such as the leaves of trees or the waves of the water. Each one takes the pulse of the landscape and the passage of time, and seasonal changes are reflected in the atmosphere inside.

Exhibitions, theatrical performances, educational activities, conferences… The cultural centre houses all these ceaseless operations in a space that unfolds so that visitors never stop interacting. Open areas, curved corridors, interior plazas invite contemplation, relaxation and socialising. Sustainable materials and organic forms create a place that serves culture, but also the sensory experience of those who visit.
